The Sexta Music Band

Sexta was an Israeli girl band active between 1978 and 1983.

The group had five female singers: Panina Barik, Hani Eliakim (Bodgov), Iris Shemi, Ruthi ben Avraham, and Warda Nega, who replaced Samdar Wimzar in June 1979.

The band released three pop albums before it split up, and was successful mainly at various festivals.

Some of the most popular songs (available on Spotify) are "I was born for Peace", "Cinderella", "The Dudaim", and "I make myself melodies".

The band tried to perform twice at the Eurovision competition but was unsuccessful, and in 2003, it returned to activity and released a new "Sexta" album.

You can see the band singing (on YouTube videos) the songs "I was born for Peace" and "HaDudaim".
